Keeping track of commodity prices

I'm constantly scribbling down notes on pieces of paper next to my computer related to prices of goods at various stations. What if instead of having to do this all the time the game remembered for me?

It would be great if I could view the prices of goods as I last saw them at stations I previously visited. It wouldn't necessarily be the correct price at the moment but it would be the price I saw when I was last at the station. I could do away with the paper then.

For instance, say I visit station X where commodity A is at 100 credits. The I travel to station Y and I don't remember how much commodity A was trading for. So I look it up on my ingame commodity tracker and see 100 credits. But what I don't know is that someone else has just sold 50 crates of commodity A to station X and the price has dropped to 50 credits. Tough sh*t for me. As I buy 50 crates of A for 75 credits and proceed to lose 25 credits on each one.

This addition would still require you to find trade routes yourself and wouldn't necessarily make trading any easier. It would take away the bits of paper I have floating around my PC and allow me to just focus on playing the game.

I'd suggest you join a trade guild. These guilds maintain databases of cargo items, prices for selling and buying goods, license levels, and many more features. See the player guilds link for descriptions of some of these guilds.

The Guild of Free Traders is the 1st one that came to mind.
