Client crashing related to OpenGl issue

I've installed the AMD64 client on opensuse 10.2 (64bit). My nvidia graphics driver appears to be installed okay too, i can run other opengl applications. my problem is when i execute vendetta, i am only given the choice of 2 resolutions (800x600, 1074x768) even though i have 6 resolution modes in my xorg.conf file. my desktop uses 1280x1074. when i try to change the resolution up to 1074x768 the client crashes. here is the console output:

X Error of failed request: GLXUnsupportedPrivateRequest
Major opcode of failed request: 148 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 16 (X_GLXVendorPrivate)
Serial number of failed request: 21607
Current serial number in output stream: 21756

you can play the game at 800x600, but yea its just not working properly >< thankyou

guitar, if you are running compiz-fusion turn on the undirect fullscreen windows option in the general tab and the legacy fullscreen support in the workarounds one. Then you wont get any slowdown and vo should work fine with xgl.
