On android using moga, need help with a specific issue.
I was looking for a way to bind to my right shoulder button an "autofire toggle".
I dont mean just turn on autofire, im meaning whatever im targeting, i can hit the shoulder button and my ship will begin firing my primary weapons constantly, and hitting the button again when i want to toggle my fire off.
I found suprisingly using autofire controls helps a ton on human input latency with using a controller;
ie - using the controller and manuevoring in the 3 planes of motion requires all my hands input, and then hitting the fire key for every shot makes this an issue. The autofire function in game reduces this immensly, and i can say i almost feel as tactile as i did playing on pc with these setups.
However, the issue is if im using this function and i dont want the autofire on, if my reticle is in range the ship will fire anyways.. Thats kind of an issue on conserving my energy.
Another issue is using the autofire function like this discriminates against friendly and hostile, so sometimes it wont fire until im hit.
Ive seen other users try to find a function like this, and i think if i can find a way to bind toggle constant primary wep fire like described can help a lot of people handicapped by what hardware they are running the game on.

Oh, also, i wanted to know if i can find a plugin that can display a little indicator like "primary fire active", maybe this can be done with droidbuttons?
Firstly wrong section. You wanted to post to Android section.
Secondly there is no need for Auto-Fire toggle, because if you switch off Auto-Aim, Auto-Fire switches off too. So it's kinda 2in1 toggle. And it makes sense to switch off both.
For hostile/friendly issue I think the only solution is to use TCS plugin which contains makefriends subplugin if you like. Available in voupr.com.
It could be a pain to setup your hostiles or friendlies, but you could also set all hostile if you fancy. Just do /reload (droidbuttons) command, because makefriends doesn't usually pick up changes instantly.
There you go, hope that helps.

Moving to Android..
You can add "echo 'primary fire active'" without the ", to the end of whatever command you are using to toggle whatever your "primaryfire" does, and it will echo to chat. If that makes sense.
Its easy with droidbuttons, just type it into the little box right after your command.
Example: "primaryfire; echo 'primary fire active'"
Hope that helps.

If you want to bind more than a single command to a controller button, you need to first create an alias. You can then use /bind to bind the alias to the button. There are instructions on the wiki for creating aliases.
