Thing that are in the movies that is not in the game.

I think that you should be able to do a few things that are not able to do not, like:

Being able to eject. You would have no weapons or shields but at least you have the chance to escape.

Another thing is that you should be able to attach yourself to big ships like moths and cap ships so you can defend them better.

NPC pirates and bases you can attack. I really want to attack them, do some damage and kill the cowards that run there.

Next i think that you should be able to make your own base. It will cost you a lot of money, but it would be yours. This would be for Vets to hang their hat. You would have to defend it and it would not show up on map. It would be able to be destroyed so you would have to defend it, but you could hire mercs to protect it.

This is another thing that I think what will improve the game. The ability to power down and leave the radar. This is a way you can lose someone in the asteroids or to ambush cargo ships.

The ability to disable bots so you can use them yourself.

The ability to bribe someone. Gives them money but takes it away if that attack you. A hot key. It would make trading better, and add some realism.

The ability to mod you ship to you liking, fins, wing or the lack of wings and so on but not change the specs of the ships. Or full customs.

Moving asteroids would make dogfight better, so you can turbo and cut past just in time and the run into the asteroids.

After mining an asteroid for a long time it can crack or melt or explode if it gets to hot.

These are a few ideas I have. I will let you chew on them for a while.

Heh. Lots of these things are a work in progress. For future reference, please read the other topics on the boards, and this topic here: http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/7692

All are great suggestions, by the way.

Except for 'sploding roids, I don't think that would be too good in a persistant universe. Maybe they could turn radioactive above a certain temperature and start draining hull from nearby ships, but if you make them actually disappear that's a whole can of worms.
