.... you forgot to define x, leaving your + value meaningless. Is 'x' time? lattitude? distance in meters from Dau in the direction of Verasi? the number of crumbs on your shirt? the ducks in Ryan's current field of view? the number of possible definitions of x that people suggest? the days since the invention of cheesecake?
Why do you always need to have everything defined ?
Let some things be random, predictability is boring....

UncleDave! Your guild rotted away, fyi
Not true! We're still here, and although we are very different from the guild that existed in 2003 we are proud to count him as a founding member.
I also hope the Android version takes off... it's nice to see VO finally getting some of the attention it deserves.

Hopefully VO can be ported to more Android devices than just the Tegra2 based ones.
This is straight out of Tron from the 1980's. Now all we need is Jeff Bridges.
Despite the lack of texture detail, great addition to the game. Biggest thing that's been added in years. What's with all the fog though? It kind of detracts from it IMHO. Unless you can decrease the fog density somehow I'd say get rid of it.

I agree, the density shouldn't be more than that of Verasi I-5. Getting a true idea of how large this is, even finding it, is difficult with 200m visibility. Finding it is an issue.
Hah. If you thought visibility is only 200m, you're severely underestimating the size of that thing. ;)
Sweet video yoda, much better than my screenshots.

Am I the only one who is tired of paying for a 8 year long beta test? Why is it wrong to expect new game features to emerge fully formed and functional? These aren't unreasonable expectations for a paid subscription. I know I'm going to get an earful of "there's only 4 of them" bullshit so save it. It's not relevant. You can have a buggy half formed free product or a relatively bug free paid product, why aren't more of you expecting one or the other? Would you pay your rent if your sink never worked and you could only get a cold shower? Why would you pay your rent if the landlord promised to fix it and never did?
Woo! Giant structures that will never do anything. YES.

I'm sure you are not the only one who feels that way, but you do not represent me or (I believe) the majority. I AM tired of your constant negativity, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way either.
I, among other long-time users, requested that Guild initiate pay-to-play so that there would be money to continue development. Nobody has a gun to our heads. I don't want a "buggy half formed free product" - and I assume Guild wouldn't bother if they didn't expect their vision would ever be realized. A "relatively bug-free paid product" of this type is going to cost more than what we pay. Big, fully-realized features require lots of coding, testing, more coding and retesting. If it needs to be made quickly, that's going to require more coders and testers - and they need to be paid. As the genre is not sexy right now, there are no significant resources other than what comes in from those of us who subscribe at Guild's fairly meager rates. They seem to be doing their best to secure additional funding, but in the meantime those of us who want to see a game like this build to its potential will have to fund it ourselves. That's a third choice which you did not mention. It seems you don't agree, so why not leave and check back later?
If my sink didn't work and my shower ran cold I'd either fix it and deduct the cost from my rent, or move.

Impavid, fuck off and die, you aren't going to get the whole hearted answer from me like Whistler up there so just go get shot, run over, have a heart attack, or some other way of ending your existence because clearly the only thing that brings you happiness is harassing us so you must have one shit life.
May as well end it

I've lived in plenty of shitty apartments, and you know what I did... I moved out. But a lot of people stayed there, you know why? It was close to where they worked, or close to family or maybe they just like that shitty apartment for some reason. Maybe its time for you to move out too Imp?
That is why I called it the BORGTRON installation. (no longer a station)
It is a perfect mix of Borg and Tron techs....
and I am anxious to see it completed, texturized, with foggy docks to provide a smooth docking visuals...
And Impavid, go play Eve or Wow. They have a complete game. Or at least go cry somewhere else, emo boy...

Spence, so angry.
I'm just trying to understand the mob mentality at work here... I'm not being negative, I'm pointing out facts. I already don't play. I'm frustrated that I probably won't ever again.

When we have something new to try, I'll often stick it off in a corner of the universe for people to play with and give feedback. It's not like I replaced (or added onto) every existing station with the new components.. that would be much more in-line with a "beta". This is more like a quirky little thing to help us test some new gameplay features. I don't think it lessens the game or anything, and many of our users actually like this kind of "window into development". I mean, isn't the game universe big enough to have a weird object hidden in a foggy remote sector?
Anyway, the game is what it is, as I've said before. We are always trying to make it better, and working very hard at that, even when it isn't immediately apparent. People who don't like the game simply shouldn't pay for it.

We the majority prefer to have new features in game asap even if they are buggy....
Feel free to go away.
Good thing Im not a Mod - Yer arse would be banned

You are not "the majority," PaK - and are neither intelligent nor articulate enough to moderate a short bus full of pre-schoolers, much less the VO forums.
Lecter, he is not talking about himself solely, if you didn't notice. Take a look at all the posts in this thread. The majority of them are in favor of this being a great addition.
And, Lecter, most of us agree that Imp should be banned, and, quite frankly, you aren't in the position to judge how accurate or intelligent Pakettle is, but you should try to find out how you can improve on your own intelligence and accuracy, much less his.
Speak for yourself, lecter. Speak for yourself.
