oh hey, i'd pay, but that's me, my parents on the other hand might have a different outlook on that. Otherwise i'd pay up to 5 bucks a month as it stands now. That is, if i can pay.

I would have no problem paying for this awsome game! 5-10$ a month is fine with me.

Just my 2¢ worth :-)

20 people so far... Let's try and go for at least 100...

I would also pay. But there is something we should think about... nobody else will pay for testing a game. So it whould be cool if those players who pay get some privileges. (And the others not)
Some ideas whould be:
- special ships avalible (valk,maud,prom)
- access to the hidden sectors
- special events organized and announced by the devs
- private forum

I play this game more than any other game I have bought (with the exception of the Marathon trilogy), and many others I haven't. I will gladly pay... Shareware alpha/beta/test anyone?
Dec 24, 2003 taumuaddib link
I forget what game it was, but it was a mmorpg that in beta testing sent out a certain CD key or something. When the game was released, this key was an 'expansion' of like an additional race or something. Any normal user could get the key, they just had to pay.

A similar thing, for contributing members over xx dollars amount could also work, so long as the game was playable without upfront extra donations, as to give noobs a shot without paying ubermoney.

Oh, and I will pay too, now and/or later.

I agree that the main game should be kept free, but paying players could get benefits (eg logos, special ships, extra money, whatever).

But yeah, I would gladly pay to support Guild Software (gah these paypal accounts are a bitch to activate)

I think the only ones that WOULDN'T pay are the ones that can't (kids under the ruthless thumb of cheap parents!).

The Devs have given us all an experience that is well worth a monthly fee and I also agree that certain "perks" be provided as an incentive to becoming a "Charter Member".

We all know it is worth it...the Devs are the ones that have to decide whether it is worth continuing. I know how hard it is on a family and life to be doing what they are trying to do.

Now, for more of Pyro's greatest hits, just send us money!

If not, burn yourself.

I just sent them $20.00

Put your money where your mouth is.

Money isn't very tastey.

FM, I'm probably going to tonight. Also, this is for people who would be willing to make a monthly donation, not just a one-time thing.
Dec 24, 2003 Urza link
i'll toss in 5 a month
Dec 24, 2003 Gowron link
Having only been playing this game for a few hours, I must say the i LOVE IT. It's highly likely that I'll be making a donation and I'd pay a monthly fee.

A pay yearly option would be nice, too. Being a 17yr old jobless student I don't have a steady income.
Dec 24, 2003 doran2k link
I would definately pay.
Dec 24, 2003 Durgia link
Not a good time of the year(xmas) for me to pay. By the end of January I would be willing to however. If the game is still around then I will send money.

Instead of saying...Iwould pay a monthly fee...send them something...even if it is only $5, then start a I DID pay thread:P

Also for people that pay...a cool feature would be to name your ship. It has no game play advantage...its just cool
