{Personal Log : Henry Jekyll, Supplemental]

Even before the End-Of-File has been reached for my last, my mailbox was already choked full of messages from TGFT. Some of them were friendly, some of them were derisive, some of them were outright incredulous, but all of them basically told me that I am being naive to even think this Dr. Lecter character will ever live up to his words. Apparently, the last time he tried to keep his word lasted a whole 3 hours.

Well, I guess I am not going to solve this problem by agreeing to a gentlemen's duel, since these duels are generally between "gentlemen". Perhaps I have a solution, but I have not seen him for a while. He had rather disappeared off the face of the Universe, but it is worth a try. But, I would need to get to Clarissa at Eo first, which would be tricky given my status as a Researve Pilot of the Serco Military.

[Personal Log : Henry Jekyll]

The CommNet was still full of the (unsurprisingly premature) news of the departure of Dr. Lecter when I finally reached Itani space. I was in a ship in the colours of the UIT, and the Itani checkpoint at Edras beeped me through. Normally the hyper-sensitive sensors will pick up a Serco even with all implants removed, but thankfully it never came to that. For that I have to thank this Itani Priority Level C-1 Clearance IFF beacon I have, given to me by the woman I was about to see.

Clarissa looked healthy, as beautiful as I have ever seen her to be. But the sagging eyes belie some sleepless nights. She has always carried along a tinge of sadness in that angelic face of hers. The twins were asleep when I arrived, which was all for the better since they have always been frightened by my presence, with good reason.

We chatted for a while, but it was soon clear that she is worried sick. She had not heard from my friend for many weeks, and the tongues among the Akanese are wagging. I am always amazed at how she managed to hide the fact that despite living in secret among these vengeful Itani, she is a follower of Eo at heart, but she did. But, well, who else my crazy friend would fall in love with?

Being a Serco in Itani space among the Akanese is not exactly a very safe thing to do, so I did not dawdle for too long. I left a message for my old friend with Clarissa, about a little hit on this Dr. Lecter character. I am sure he will not let me down, after all Clarissa told me that he had ran into this Dr. Lecter before, who apparently self-destructed and then fled after several encounters with my old friend. That put a smile on my face as I sped pass the Edras Checkpoint, Itani strikeforce in tow.

[IGPK update]

Recent escalated Border hostility has significantly increase demand and price of raw materials. Xith trades at 960 and Helio trades at 2407 are reported at a large number of stations within Itani, Serco as well as uncharted space. Significant stockpiling is reported of key rare ore. Guild members are encouraged to sell into these high prices.

SCAR's vigilante, Dr. Lecter, poses no significant threat to Guild traders or miners and intelligence reports no recent reliable sightings.

The IGPK has revised its mapping to show accessible Apicene and Pentric resources as well as top markets for resale. Members should contact its Guild Lieutenants or Commander for further information.

With Border hostilities high and fighters, pirates and profiteers following traffic to Deneb, uncharted space is relatively safet from piracy. While caution is advised, now is the time to trade in gray space with UIT factions for standing and wealth.

After looking through various player-owned guild profiles, I ran across IGPK and became intrigued by its unique ambitions. And in light of the recent events regarding these space pests attacking miners and the like, I have voiced my interest in helping defend IGPK and its future endeavors. Today I now join the ranks of the IGPK as one of its most loyal and skilled defenders, under UIT representation. I am looking forward to exterminating any pests that come in the way of this guild.

One additional note. As always I will offer my defensive services to the TGTF Mining Expeditions whenever I can. Competition between TGTF and IGPK is inevitable, of course, but we can work towards fighting a common enemy within the interest of keeping this business alive and well. I'm only here to make that possible.

Arolte, please do keep defending the TGFT mining missions. You, as well as all other IGKP, are always welcome.

[IGPK Update]

Swelling inventories of Helio and Pentric swell and have created the need for safe transport of ore: a single large inventory of ores in one location is 1) unsafe and 2) exposed to the risk of market crash in that location. To wit, recent intelligence indicates that recent selling in Betheshee crashed Helio prices from 2400 to 438 within minutes.

To address the transportation issue, The Guild welcomes Arolte, and his pimped out Warthog Territorial Defender to the ranks. With his skill and enthusiasm, we expect higher profitiable and safety in the upcoming days. The Guild continues to recruit mercenaries to defend transports and mining operation.

Job Posting--Operation Helios I. Defense, Transport and mining opportunities for skilled entrepenuers available. Heliocene, Xithrite locations available to members for exploitation. Defenders are urged to contact guild Lieutenants Lydia or glb ingame. Reports or rogue Serco fighters have disrupted previous activities in this region. Defenders are necessary. Generous Stipend available to skilled mercenaries.

Job Posting--Operation Itani Pentric. Transport and mining opportunities for skilled entrepenuers available. Defense appears unnecessary in certain sectors. Contact Lieutenant glb ingame for maps and instruction necessary to exploit the significant pentric resources that long-range mapping has uncovered.

Helio inventories topped 6000c with Guild credits exceeding 40 million. Advances in Pentric and Apecine stocks are also reported with the mining of Denic slowing as a result of increased border hostilities. Note that these hostilities have created denic selling opportunities, particularly in nearby EO space.

[IGPK Update]

Supply demand balances in helio, apecine and pentric ore stocks have created an urgent need for transport. To solve this legistics issue, IGPK is planning a massive transport from (as yet) undisclosed locations to more profitable stations. IGPK Code name "Flying Fist" will provide a leading and flanking behemoth with fighter escort through charted storm free space. Emphasis on safety and stealth. Between the leading and flanking moths, all levels of transport are invited. Guild pay commensurate with quantity transported. Details on need-to-know basis. Contact IGPK members ingame.

I'm avilible for hire at any time for any job, let me know I'm sure we can work some thing out.
Jun 28, 2005 johnhawl218 link
I'd volunteer myself as an escort if you need another ship. Who is in charge of the convoy?
Jun 29, 2005 gbridgman link
[IGPK Update]

Command authority for upcoming convoy(s) has yet to be assigned as scouts provide recon on ore pricing. It is, however anticipated that Lieutenants and Commander will be mission commanders for the upcoming transports. Thanks to all for the support. Helio stores continue to swell now topping 6000c. The need for transport is reaching critical levels. 100% Storm free routes throughout all systems have been plotted.

Guild intercept: "Possibilities including hiring users/NPCs to trade for you (even while offline), or mine for you, or defend your personal station, or perhaps even hire mercenaries to attack other players and NPCs." To finance these lucarative opportunities, the Guild has established Banking facilities in the Odia system.

Serco and Itani hostilities toward IGPK members nearly non-existant. Mining opportunities unprecidented. Contact IGPK Lts. Lydia or glb ingame or Commander for recruiting information.

[IGPK Update]

Arolte found the need to explain his role within the Guild: "I've worked up an admirable reputation for both Serco and Itani nations. This was done not only to appear neutral to everyone, but to also eliminate all doubt as to whether the people I target are truly an enemy of UIT or not. I intend to keep those standings high so innocent players aren't hurt. The bottom line is I extend my services as sort of a human version of the Strike Force, but outside of UIT boundaries. Whether I fight fair or not is irrelevant. Whether I retreat or not is irrelevant. My goal is to blast all enemies of UIT no matter what the cost. Be prepared for anything." His statement is completely within the parametres of the IGPK mission.

The mission of the IGPK remains constant and consistent: The Itani and Serco conflict is simply an opportunity for greater wealth accumulation. We will continue to cooperate with both nations and encourage members to improve their faction with each, employing agression only against aggressors.

Guild stores of pentric and helioscene are unprecedented with the prices completely under Guild control in multiple systems.

[IGPK Update]

The IGPK Guild Bank has been established, currently in Dau. Members interested in depositing credit toward Guild activities are urged to report to Dau and contact "glb" ingame.

Questions have arisen regarding the intentions of IGPK. The principals are simple:

--Throwing yourself into battle with a short-sighted mind is downright dumb and ineffective. Not everybody is set out to duel other players during combat. The duel function is there for a reason. Use it.

--That said, IGPK is non-aggressive except when defending against attack or preemptively acting against known aggressors. Maximizing Player Kills is secondary to maximizing profit. A foolish battle expends time and money.

--The Guild possesses complete mineral maps of VO. Members are encouraged to plan and coordinate mining missions to maxminze continual and steady supply of ores. The location of certain prime fields are on a need-to-know basis, decided by the Commander.

--Mineral update. Heliocene prices remain low but selling opportunities in outlying regions have been identified. A distribution of Heliocene throughout all stations is encourage rather than stockpiling at a few or single location.

--Hive activity is reportedly undergoing significant change. Scouts report adaptation and have also reported sightings of an as yet undentified robot. More as this phenomena is investigated.

Excellent. Our little nest egg is growing each day. Thanks for the updates. Hopefully I'll be back soon to help with defense and those pesky hive bots.
