So sad that Harpo lost a trident in Itan for not paying fees. He calls for VOID Greenwall to come and help him, so sad.

You shut the hell up EDIT with your nonsense. DOOM on YOU. Regards from [TIDE].

While pulling away the curtains of a TGFT puppet guild, it is not surprising to find greedy ITAN fingers wrapped around a few of the strings. Nice to see another nonconformist group stand against the rampant corruption. Vivat EDIT!

Well this doesn't seem to be getting quite the earth shaking response you were hoping for, does it?
Edit (5 days later): yeah I was wrong, this thread did take off.

PA takes over VOID and all of a sudden sides with ITAN.

I don't think anyone is describing this as "earth shattering". I believe it is in fact being described as "sad" and "unsurprising".

I'll add another: Hypocrisy.

180° about face of the neutral stance that VOID attempted to shove down everyone's throats during their re-branding a few months ago.

I actually use my trident, so it's often at risk. One dead trident every few weeks would be a big deal to people that hide them all the time. I had one death that evening (I stayed aboard at the end to ensure faction loss of the attacker) and I got a bunch of PKs off the EDIT and Serco. In fact the three ITAN members fighting all had great kill ratios that night. I should mention that we were against 7 opponents at one point, but later on it settled into a 4v4, then the antagonists wandered off with very few kills.

One member of VOID helped later in the battle. You edit guys got schooled by him too. That seems to bother you to the point where you start silly threads like this one.

What I think is 'so sad' is that while ITAN and a few other Itani are protecting the Itani borders from pirates and Serco nationalists, the formerly Itani nationalist guild SKV now teams up with said Serco nationalists and pirates, working against the general interests of the Itani people even though they have no rational end-goal in mind. We hope that they will come back to their former primary mission of protecting Itani interests. I realize that there are not enough Serco nationalists to keep the three active SKV members challenged, but add in the pirate guilds and maybe the ten enemies at a time might suffice. Our diplomatic channels are, and always will remain, open to our wayward brothers.

@Harpo

ITAN & SKV have been the closest allies for over a decade and I think even the Serco side can agree on SKV being their toughest adversary in all the battles during that period.

In the last year things have changed for the worse in, once unbreakable, alliance between our guilds and mainly thanks to you Harpo.

When TGFT put SKV on their KOS list and practically declared war on SKV what did our ally ITAN do?
Did you stood by us or fought on our side?
No, you went to collude with our enemies to protect your lucrative deals you had with them and tried to cause as much damage to SKV war efforts as you could.

Similar situation occurred when TGFT puppet guild VOID declared war on SKV, what did our ally ITAN do?
You continued to collude with TGFT and VOID completely ignoring your brothers in arms and not just that, ITAN actively participated in defending TGFT & VOID interests against their ally SKV.

So, how about we make a very quick and simple conclusion - ITAN loves having SKV as ally as long as SKV does not actually need ITAN help in anything and does not interfere in ITANs deals with TGFT & VOID.

You are such a great ally but only when it suits you and does not collide with your interests.
Sorry Harpo but alliances do not work like that.

You can call us 'wayward brothers' as much as you want while you are counting your credits and sharing your table and your bed with TGFT & VOID.

In the future, if you want to discuss the current status of our alliance - please use proper diplomatic channels.
This discussion here is now over.

You like to blame me for all the problems between SKV and ITAN. It's just stupid. The Itan council voted on dissolving our NAP with TGFT and that passed unanimously. The council voted on declaring war with TGFT and it did not pass. I was on the council at the time. You told me a few months after the vote that you thought ITAN had declared war on TGFT. I don't know who told you that. The TGFT member you were fighting the war over has left TGFT, you don't articulate a valid condition for victory, so why should I advise breaking neutrality for the Man of La Mancha?

Currently you are working with the Serco and pirates and are locking us out of station access, intentional or not. I'm glad we don't have any active construction projects going on right now, so we don't have to make an issue of that right now. You gave us FAMY keys a few times, then after you log out your 'allies' revoke them. Then you get mad and blame me when some of our guys try to take a station. I wasn't even participating but I was there when SKV members attacked ITAN members, not you though, but your actions are driving the wedge between us. Blaming me is just sad.

We learned not to depend on SKV because even though the average skill level is high, you are often absent for long periods.

You seem to think I have significant financial ties with TGFT. My dealings with them have been almost zero since you and seiger started the war. Whomever is telling you otherwise is misleading you. I did team up with a few TGFT guys to take stations from the serco a while back. At that time the Serco had the numbers and SKV was no where to be found, and our primary mission is to promote Itani Interests and diminish Serco influence. You could have made a difference if you were there. The universe moves on without you when you are gone for long periods. Would you have demanded we continue your war without you? You've lost your way.

Sounds like you need a warranty sir.

No, there are rarely more than one FAMY in a sector, if sighted at all. It hardly makes a difference if 6 players are attacking me or 7.

I was referring to your being "locked out" of the stations.

@Harpo

I think I made myself clear about using proper diplomatic channels in my previous post but obviously not enough clear for you.

There are no 'problems' between ITAN & SKV there is only 1 problem: you cannot sit on two chairs at once.
Either you are with your ally in good and bad times or you are not.
If you are not then we have no alliance - just some meaningless words on a paper.

Thank you for confirming that ITAN actually broke our decade long alliance by stalling, debating and voting for 6 months and then, in fact, not siding with their closest ally and declaring war on TGFT. Similar applies to our war with the TGFT puppet guild VOID I suppose.
I wonder would NATO do the same if Russia attacked UK if they were governed by ITAN style of democracy - deliberating, discussing and voting for 6 months and then deciding - nah, let them burn. Funny thought isn't it?

Your information about why this war started are completely outdated and incorrect but I am not willing to discuss that here & now.
Conditions for TGFT surrender were set and they still stand, they are just getting worse and worse for the TGFT by the minute.
I could speculate that they just needed a bit more incentive to bring this war to an end at some point but instead got passive and active support from ITAN and decided not to do it.

You know, there are some old phrases like: "enemy of my enemy is my friend" and "friend of my enemy is my enemy too".
As we found out during the last year - enemies of our enemies have more honor then our actual allies.
They never went down on their word, they never betrayed us or left us alone in a situation of need.
ITAN, as our ally, on the other hand quickly jumped into bed with all our enemies in TGFT & VOID and now you say we lost our way.

Politics is a bitch.
SKV have always been warriors, we do not sit on our hands and deliberate if we will bleed for our brothers or not, we act instantly.
TGFT Machiavellianism has taken so deep roots in ITAN that you have actually lost your way long time ago.

There was no stalling, the two votes happened without much delay, maybe your sources of information are slow. It was also no secret. Obviously you listened to the wrong people, or you didn't hear what was being said to you.

You can rant about perceived motives all you like, it just makes you sound bitter and crazy. You don't know why the votes went the way they did, you spend your time making up conspiracy theories about 'why' when you you don't even know, by your own admission, 'what' was decided, or when it was decided, or by whom. I would have told you sooner but I didn't know that you were misinformed.

We didn't break any alliance with you, we just didn't follow you into war. But now you work openly with the Serco, you proud warrior of Itan. If we were at war along side you when you decided it was a good idea to work with the Serco, our alliance might have ended right then. Would you have called me a traitor for refusing to work with the Serco as you do?

LMFAO. Bojan this is just great... Harpo caused you to join forces with pirates and serco nationalists?

I don't know what's better, your self-claimed ethical superiority or that Harpo made SKV switch sides completely.

At least you have admitted you have turned your back on the Itani officially.
