List of most desired Lua API changes.
We'll probably be making some client changes before long, including some to client Lua API.
I'm not going into our planned changes, I'll say they've been intended for years, and should improve performance and other areas, but none of that is what this thread is about..
This thread is about what you would like to change, and how things might be improved?
I know there have been a number of requests for changes or updates or improvements to make certain types of plugins easier. I will do my best to go back through Suggestions and Bugs and try and hunt down items, but if people can link their favorites here, that would be helpful.
THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO POST IDEAS, I'm only interested in links to other threads that describe said ideas.
If your idea doesn't have a thread, then make a thread (and link it). Don't just post your idea here, because you feel that's easier.
Basically, I don't want a noisy bunch of BS in this thread, or debates over relative merit of individual ideas: those can happen in other threads, which are simply linked from here.

So, there have been a lot of Lua plugin threads lately, but only these three are a priority for people?
Well, I threw some up to see if they got any responses, but some of them were also more wants than priorities.
Of those I posted, I'd say these are the highest level of want.
Lua - New/Modified Event: report credits/crystals in a transaction
Lua - Allow dofile() to pass variables into a file
Lua - Get Directory of Calling Plugin

Please don't list things on here that I've said are never going to happen.
how long shall my memory be to avoid bumping into 20 some odd years of "things I've said are never going to happen"?
How about "today"? Can you do that?
Well I must apologize.. in your original post you said you only wanted links here, you didn't want to discuss merits here.. so the only way to put something here, is to first have written a separate post that is linkable. I cannot help it if you come in and see one before the other.. in no way have I posted something in this thread that you previously said no about "today".. you just must be a terribly slow reader.

Really? I said no to the Fonts thread today. And the "upgrade lua" thread. I responded to the IUP thread before you posted it on here. You just hadn't refreshed the Suggestions page, I suspect.
The point of posting separate threads is so said threads can have reasonable external discussion, and not have that discussion on here.
In that way, the content that makes it on here is stuff that's actually feasible to happen. And not just a confused mess of "I WANT" posts.
