Please do.

I`d be honoured if you came to see. Maybe you can use a trial account for that. Name a time between 03:00pm and 02:00am GMT, and I`ll get in game.

What faction are you then? I'd rather not have to go through grey on a trial account, heh

This is unreal.. I was in the game for like two days before my first player kill, and the first time out I thought bots were too easy. It cannot be the game. I'm not a top gun pilot in the air force, the only other game I played like this one before was Starlancer, and that wasn't even an online game.

The bots are too easy to kill. I do have a quick question for yun though ---> what ship are you using? after 3 months of playing you probably have a wraith or IBG or something good. I don't know what to say man, perhaps you need to see a doctor. Is it lag? Gah.. it's not the game, if every other new player can pick it up quickly, and one can't.

I would suggest finding someone in game to act as a target so you can improve aim and then try to dodge while they fire. If you're still having keyboard problems, then let me remind you that Guild software does not produce keyboards, so that DEFINATELY cannot be their fault.

Incarnate.. do you guys make keyboards..?

Well, I pretty much suck at PvP, but whenever I see you online, yun, I'll try and make time for a bit of practice. Deal?

Harry, I`m UIT, so I can come where ever you like.

No, they are not. The problem is always that you die after taking a few hits.

I tried mostly Hornets, Warthogs, Vultures, and Centaurs.

No, I`m not playing that long yet, and standing gets stuck at +999, so I can`t buy such ships. Dunno if I need licenses for them, but combat is stuck at 6.

It doesn`t matter much what I use, anyway. I like the Hornet the best, but it`s useless because it runs out of energy and is too slow. The Hog is also rather slow and either lacks the firepower or runs out of energy. The Vulture is slightly faster, but makes for a huge target and blows up like just by looking at it. The Centaur is a large target, turns too slow and requires a great deal of luck for the rockets and missiles to hit. The Rag is worse and useless for anything that shoots back, though it would make for a nice gunboat to shoot heavy torpedoes to very slow targets from a save distance, if there were such torps and targets.

A doctor can`t change that younger eyes are quicker than older ones. Print the distance to the target at the crosshair and put an (optional) Elite-style radar (with adjustable ranges) on the bottom in the middle. Ease up targeting by implementing an enemy list so that players can put enemies on that list so that the enemies are shown as such and can be targeted with `target nearest enemy`. Make indicators that show the movement of your ship and the movement and speed of the target. That would already help tremendously.

Then make it so that you can defend yourselfe against attackers in NFZs without loosing your standing.

(That you can change the hud a little has already been said to eventually become possible.)

Who knows how lag is dealt with in VO? From playing UT, I can tell that a ping of 180 can mean anything from less than 0.2 to 0.5 seconds delay, sometimes more (my guessing since I can`t measure that). It`s sometimes playable with that, sometimes not, but that doesn`t tell anything about lag with VO. Chat messages in VO sometimes take about 2 seconds before they appear, but that seems to be independent of the ping. Some players seem to do PVP with 900ish pings.

Well, I tried that with bots a lot.

Of course not. If it`s something like that, I`d have to apologize.

> Incarnate.. do you guys make keyboards..?

Hehe, they could make special keyboards and trackballs solely designed to play VO.

Wow, now that`s really nice of you :) I already quit playing, but I`ll take the chance.

Actually, you can get fighters starting at combat 2 (and you don't need more than 600 standing for most of them, and you don't need more than ~900 standing for any of them), so you should be able to go buy a centurion or something.
Dec 13, 2006 yun link
Hmm, I can buy normal Centurions. I can also buy aaps, but not a wraith.
