I still say there are some situations where it's understandable to run. Such as: a. Getting double teamed by two rocket/agt scp's. b. already doing a 2 v 1, sometimes even 3 or 4 v 1, and then having another join the fight and start agt'ing you or firing rockets at you. Not much point in sticking aroung for that, but I've been called a runner from leaving fights like that several times. I think a lot of people are too quick to throw out the word "runner". There is such a thing as "justified running".
I was just whining cause I lost a few Atlasie recently and I'm still mad; Why can't I have sunflairs at combat 5 anyway?
I haven't really had but a few questionable instances with BLAK lately, nothing to write home about.
The commanders know who I'm concerned about so they'll let you know if it's an issue with us. You're all so vocal about it, it's suprising to see a possible runner in your ranks.
I really just wanted to point out that you guys bashed us in the forum before helping us appropriately cull our ranks, and turnabout seemed fair. You're pirates, you got thick skin right? And smelly beards?

Indeed Borb II has compiled a list of [IA] members that he, Shape and Martin mainly have worked on and emailed it to me. Rest assured that I will be bringing it up internally.
I'd like to point out that even though this debate seems one-sided, with members of [BLAK] spouting off about how combat should be fought, determining who is a runner and/or a missile spammer on their own and then pronouncing them cowards in a public forum, [IA] is full of members who are both honorable and fair.
War is not about fighting your opponent in a way he expects and enjoys, it's about the application of military force to achieve an objective, and overwhelming your enemy is encouraged. Sedina B8 is pretty much a warzone with CtC and the recent upspike in Capital Ship sightings, and as I again experienced last night, it is always best to have duels (whether unofficial or not) elsewhere.
It is in [BLAK]'s best interest to destroy [IA]'s reputation, in a sad attempt to weaken one of the guilds that is at war with them. This calls into question their own true motives. All's fair in love & war, though: It's hilarious to ME that a bunch of PIRATES are attempting to claim the moral high ground.

There seems to be a general agreement among the leadership of IA that swarm spamming is an unacceptable practice in PvP. We are working to discourage such behaviour; accordingly, if you see a member of IA inappropriately using swarms in a consensual PvP situation, please report it to a ranked member of IA. If you are being a filthy pie rat against our trading operations, don't bother.

Yeah well the sad part is that we can clam the moral high ground. I mean it really should be like this:
Pirate: Some one used cheap tactic X of the week on me.
Every one: Haha! That's a good one like you can talk.
But um, yeah I guess we're just not your average pirates.
Blue man: I stopped pirating, I'm now a merc. So were does that putt me? Can I still report to the IA head sheds or would it just be a wast of my time?
Hoax: What makes you think I could grow a bear.... Er I mean my smelly beard is 4 feet long. :D

Anyone can report, but if you're attacking an IA trader who is trading at the time, don't bother reporting, they are sactioned to use all available defensive means.
True a trader in some ways CAN use cheap tatics. Especialy when they are in a 50,000Kg behemoth. Although even then i'd discourge it, just run or fight back with something if you can't don't just missile spam them to death it's lame.
I will personally be discourging the act of missile spaming or any tatics like that. If you have any complaints contact me at macguyshut@gmail.com (it's macguy's hut not macguy shut :) )

Oh, that's right, Borb. You're a mercenary now.
Stop, clamming [sic] the moral high ground, you're gonna screw up your REP!
So you look like the long lost member of ZZTop, eh? HA

I'd like to just post this link to the dueling etiquette page on the wiki then I'll shaddup on this issue and go level up 'ol CameraBot. Gotta get him to level 4 combat and a FC Batt so I can start making movies of the capships & other actual FUN stuff to do in B8 besides whine on 100.

Can I just say that [IA] are a thousand times more fun than they used to be?
I mean, some of them I don't even feel inclined to attack all the time any more.
Therefore, I propose that all IA become annoying noobs again, so I may blast them to pieces without pangs of conscience.

Well UncleDave, the way I've been loosing in b8 lately you are all more than welcome to slap a n00b sticker on the freebus I'll be driving since I'm running out of money so quickly...
Poor Uncledave... IA's only going to get meaner. I don't forsee us recruiting too many newbs anytime soon, so look forward to more and more pain over the next few months of training. :)

@shape: i told you in-game several days ago about that. no need to repeat that in public here...
@hoax: i am not bashing anyone here. i think this whole discussion is pointless anyway. the one thing, that really annoys me, however,
is the tendency of people to call for standards they do not fullfil themselves. And, to make that clear: I never claimed to be perfect or something. But I also don't start shouting on the fora around because someone did what I have done five minutes ago.

as for traders using cheap tactics, well, really, if you're trading in a moth, you _are_ using a cheap tactic. you're so safe it's outright silly. :-p
@maso: actually, you never named names then, you just kinda talked generally about BLAK not fulfilling standards, like you're doing right now. I want names damnit.
Because you say that you dislike it when people don't live up to standards. But the only way to deal with that is to enforce them. Which you don't do with your members, and which I do.
If there are people who are not living up to our standards, well, that can be fixed. But just blithely accusing us ALL of not holding up these standards, well that's just underhanded.

I'm not talking about this anymore. I'll let my actions and the actions of [IA] speak for themselves.
