AnyX was not a public plugin distributed under a false assumption of being helpful while concealing functions which are damaging to the players privacy. Don't be an idiot and use your brain Greenwall.

AnyX was a guild only plugin, whose creator never disclosed fully all the information collected by it. It was a lesser evil since it wasn't public, but nonetheless evil in the same way for those who did use it and had their alts and inventories and god knows what else unknowingly tracked and documented.

It most certainly could have been damaging to the privacy of ITAN members who had alts in other guilds... I remember my draw dropping at the alt list drazed produced when I was LT, lol.

I've refrained from commenting on much of this, but come on GW. Yes, it is guild only. You ACTUALLY HAVE TO LOG IN TO IT for it to function (log in after logging in the game that is). You can disable it for individual characters.

It was never presented to the masses as "hey here is this helpful trading and accounting software, hope you don't mind we're collecting and reporting data of your location and those around you... oops!"

I'm glad, and respect the fact, that TGFT placed a disclaimer on their plugin, I'm not crapping on it, but CLEARLY there is a difference between a guild-only plug in, and one that is put out to the public.
