RMJ: either you're very good at trolling or you have some kind of autistic personality, perhaps aspergers. You seem to have a serious inability to detect sarcasm or to read between the lines to figure out what someone is really saying. What's up with you?

I cannot monitor the true identity of everyone who joins TRI. I just don't have the time to, even though I'd really like to. I can say that as soon as anyone acts in an offensive manor, other than described by our neutral policy, they are kicked.

I also can't stop someone from creating a new character and applying back to TRI. TRI is always actively recruiting. Anyone who joins is told of our policies. If they are broken, then that player is kicked.

I can guarantee you that if anyone in TRI is suspected of any sort of foul play, they will be kicked.

Having said this, TRI can't afford to kick members based on the accusations of others alone. We can guarantee that if any player is accused of something, it will be looked into thoroughly.

To speak specifically to your claim that Valaina is Temptress:

Through discussions with Valaina, I have found that they are a completely reasonable person, who I think you should exchange dialogue with every once in a while. These characters could very well be the same person. However, until an act that violates our guilds neutral policies are broken by Valaina, we will not kick a new member out based on an accusation.

On a further note, I completely respect character separation until someone says on one character that they are in fact another character, or behaves in a negative manor that is directly related to another character known to behave in such manor. I would expect the same respect for me and all my alt characters.

If you choose to remove us from your friend list, this would greatly trouble TRI, and in fact hurt our productivity ten-fold. I'm sure you know this. I obviously can't stop you from doing this though, as it is completely your decision. I respect whatever you choose to decide, and can say that TRI will always have an extended hand reached out for SKV and anyone else who wishes to be our friends.

As you should know TRI is only looking to be peaceful and make friends with everyone. Just because the game is called "Vendetta Online", it doesn't mean you HAVE to have enemies. It is just a name. TRI only looks to be an opportunity for individuals who would like to focus on manufacturing and helping create a player economy. The only way to do this effectively at the moment, since the game lacks the obvious needed mechanics, is to be friends with everyone. We have worked really hard to do this and maintain it. We only wish that the rest of the universe respect it and also seek to help us maintain it.

Thanks for hearing us out, and I truly appreciate your time.

@ Darth Nihilus

Until the incident with your member Temptress, TRI neutrality in this ongoing conflict has been exemplary.
Removing Temptress from your guild roster was the right move that confirmed your willingness to stay neutral.

Valaina char has the same player ID as Temptress. Former name of Temptress char was Eclipsys and he has been observed using TGFT_utils plug-in even after we announced our "Zero tolerance policy".
Valaina (as a renamed char) is still using TGFT_utils plug-in which confirms that his/hers spying on behalf of TGFT days are not over.

Taking into account previous inability for alt separation of the said player we are unable to confirm Valainas neutrality.

As an intermediate solution, until we reach a conclusion on how to proceed with this, - Valaina will not get station access and will be placed on our KOS list.

Two name changes in a month just to avoid SKV?

Devs: $5 per name change. If you want to be nice maybe the first two on an account are free.

I accept and appreciate this decision. Don't think that I am taking this situation lightly either. I intend to resolve it to the fullest extent, as time permits me.

+1 to charging for character name changes

This should have been put into place as soon as possible. They could make some pretty decent money from this as I have known several people change their names several times over the course of a few months. This would essentially double what they are paying just to play.

If someone is using the TGFT utils plugin, the obvious remedy is to blow them up. Who cares what guild they are in? As long as TRI understands why they're being blown up there shouldn't be an issue.

shady horsecockery. Seems like too much effort to be "neutral".
Jun 03, 2015 Darth Nihilus link
Its pretty obvious that main reason that TRI is neutral is to maintain a high level of productivity. If we lost our neutrality, we would lose productivity.

As commander it is partly my job to monitor and attend to our relations with the rest of the community. I do not take this task lightly, as we have worked very hard to achieve the status that we currently have.

I can assure you that no shady horsecockery is at play here, my friend.

Why insult Darth kenny?

I have no problem with your insults aimed at me but Darth's posts have all been very civilized and cordial.
TRI and SKV came to an agreement that does not impact the TRI guild neutrality because of the malicious deeds of one of his members and SKV decided to deal with Valaina on a personal basis.

Lot of TGFT are showing signs of dyslexia in their heated replies on forums lately.
I suggest you all stay out of mind altering drugs and take the meds your doctors prescribed.

What will TRI do when skv gets bored again and starts to occassionally shooting TRI members with low Itani standing? They will either bend over as kb suggests or they will label SKV as hostile.
Jun 03, 2015 Darth Nihilus link
We deal with all transgressions on a personal basis. We don't label other guilds as hostile or not. We are that trivial. We shoot at people who shoot at us for the most part. We do avoid shooting back in conquerable station sectors, in Deneb, and in any other guild on guild type of conflict. That's just not our cup of tea.

TRI will always see every other guild in VO as a friend. If someone wants to be a dick or douche and shoot at us in an area that they know we won't attack them back, oh well. We don't have tiny penises nor do we have sandy vaginas, so we'll get over it just fine. If you shoot us in an area that we shoot back, well...

To me it seems completely reasonable for a guild to label another guild as hostile if the large majority (or all) of their active members have acted in an unprovoked and hostile manner.

If there were only a small portion of the active members of a guild causing problems, then dealing with them individually also seems a reasonable course.

SKV's problem is that it has not been consistent in its stance on nationalism. For a very long time nobody cared about SKV because it had only one member who ever logged in (Niki). And, while Niki did shoot the occasional trader/neutral party, he was always treated individually by neutral guilds. The rest of the time Niki behaved exactly like a member of ITAN behaved.

My understanding is that the current conflict between SKV and TGFT is primarily rooted in SKV's hatred of TGFT's arguably best pvper, Sieger. For whatever reason, Niki, Bojan, Archeron, and eventually Sideburns all took to hating Sieger. This hatred was then expanded to the entire guild, with increased unprovoked killings of other TGFT members (sometimes with the excuse of low itani standing, sometimes not). Eventually leadership of TGFT took notice and labelled SKV as potentially hostile.

I have no idea how much effort was expounded on the part of TGFT leadership to handle the situation politically, but I am 100% certain SKV had no interest in doing so. Their actions in game, in chat, and on these forums suggest (and confirm) their prime concern is to gain easy targets that they didn't have before. Who better to target than the largest guild of neutral players?

Against such ruthless indiscretion, TRI's saving grace (at least for the short term), probably lies in their size. If they remain small enough, they will probably elude the lustful murderous eye of SKV.

In any event, SKV has all but suspended their nationalist identity in lieu of a baseless and unprovoked war on an innocent and (in the large part) helpless, multi-national group of players. Nobody sees SKV as an itani nationalism guild anymore, and I think it's high time their changed their guild description to correspond to their behavior in game. Something like "We are giant dicks and will shoot who we please. You all can fuck off." would be apt.

My main problem with SKV is not so much their RP, but rather that they are disingenuous about it.
