A military tribunal? By what army? Last I checked, Itan was not the official Itani military, and neither was Skygge Vakter.
OOC:
Claims by any guild nowadays to be any kind of 'official' force are an unauthorized assumption of authority. Maybe that will change in the future, but right now those claims are just laughable.

OOC: Tosh, that may be true... but for temporary RP purposes... it makes sense. If not a military unit... at least they are a vigilante force that is approved of by their government.

Given the manner that [Itan] is going about it, military tribunal would be more accurate than "Trial by Jury".
I find 'Lynch Mob' to be highly appropriate.
I haven't lynched anyone!

Vigilante force, terrorist organization, band of rogue pirate hating pirates, if you ask me.
If they have the support of the Itani government that makes the Itani nation just as guilty of their rampant imperialist attitude. However, I spend a lot of time trading and traveling in Itani space and on the whole they're a good bunch of folk so I'd be surprised to learn they have the official support of the Itani government.
Want to get an Itani really riled up?
Publish a bunch of cartoons showing Eo in compromising or violent situations.

Enough talkin', it takes time away from the lynchin'!
OOC; behemian72, please take out that last comment. We need none of that nonesense here. Then I'll delete this post and we'll all hapilly get back on the subject.
You mean like this pic of Oernon at a UiT prison for pirates?
And people wonder why the Serco think he fought dirty and man perverted enough to do that would do any thing. And does any one see he has little bitty boobies? I think the "man" also had a sex change...
Edit: Er sorry Mogul I saw Bohe's post and fired up PS before reading any more, if you want I'll delete that pic and this post...

Meh, this is a war, trials for war crimes take place after a war. As such, a trial will only lower itani moral, just give him a painful execution, and the people will be happy, the blood fed.
OOC: On a side note, the itani, being peace loving, would likely simply keep Dr. Lecter in a jail cell, well fed and well treated. You can't execute him, without the admission that Itan is akanese.

What nonsense? I wasn't the first to refer to [ITAN] as a vigilante force. ITAN can not deny an imperialist attitude since most of their actions involve imposing their will in free, non-Itani, unaligned space.
As best I can tell [ITAN] has kidnapped a Serco national and is holding a sham trial to ease what little of that famed Itani peace loving conscience they have left.

Sham? Nope. There's plenty of reason to put him up for trial.
Oh, hey now Bohemian, we're no vigilante force with an imperialist attitude. C'mon. I mean, really.
Well, I don't doubt your honor Leber. It could be that I've been too hasty to judge. My opinion is formed almost entirely on how [ITAN] handled the whole Neural Spike issue. Policing grey space and blockading UIT seemed fairly imperialistic to me. As long as activities like that don't resume, I'm willing to rethink my opinion of the coallition.
Kinda OOC-Reply:
Um, I think we did that ONE TIME for approximately one hour about one month ago. And we only did it because [SCAR] and [ST6] did not show up for the RP event, even though Mr. Sarken was adamant they would.
Our (faulty) assumption was that they were going to try to sneak it past us, since a lot of UIT and Serco trader-type folks showed up at the designated time, but no enemy-guild members.
Turns out, [SCAR] and [ST6] just flaked out on us, and didn't bother to tell anyone they weren't coming to the party. But we've been over this before.
For the record, we are not a police force for grayspace, but most of [Itan] will assist traders being attacked by pirates. [Itan] also does not blockade space on any kind of regular basis. In fact, I think the NSI blockade was our first and last blockade, if reaction to it is any indication of the playerbase's attitude.
I mean, [SKV] didn't get this much heat for their almost week-long blockade in Ukari. I know it's just that the hostile Serco and UIT players like to slander [Itan], because they are jealous we're so cool.

Actually, I was not very active during that blockade, but it was partially responsible for my return to regular participation. By the time I was back in the game though, it was over.
So the next time anything resembling a blockage reared it's ugly head, I was sure to voice my concern.
In fact the memory of the SKV blockade was probably very much responsible for the sudden and vocal resistance to the ITAN exercises (which happened twice) re: the spike.
All the same, if that ugliness is truly all in the past, like I said, I'm willing to rethink my opinion.

Yeah but you're still all off topic
Meh. I don't think the trial is gonna go anywhere. Let's say we convict him? What then? Does he delete Dr. Lecter account? I mean, come ON.
OOC: I'm with Leebs on this. Last thing Lecter would do is delete the character -.-
